Stakeholders commend LASAA at 5th Stakeholders Forum

Stakeholders in the Outdoor Advertising Industry have expressed
satisfaction with the efforts of the Lagos State Signage &
Advertisement Agency (LASAA). This was made known by the President
of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Mr. Kole
Ademulegun at the 5th stakeholders forum of LASAA held
on Thursday 24th of June 2010 at the Golden Tulip Hotel
Festac, Lagos. Mr Ademulegun stated emphatically that platforms
such as the stakeholders forum helps in positioning LASAA as a
partner with OAAN rather the regulator people perceive LASAA to be.
He posited that what is imperative now is for LASAA to look into
its rates in view of a review as well as issue more structure
approvals for Outdoor Advertising practitioners in Lagos State.
In his speech, the Managing Director of the Lagos State Signage
& Advertisement Agency (LASAA), Mr. Makanjuola Alabi urged all
Outdoor Advertising Practitioners practicing in the State to give
due attention to their business. Mr. Alabi asked for the support of
all Outdoor Advertising Practitioners in the development of the
outdoor advertising Industry. Also on this occasion, a proposal on
the Lagos Image /City Branding project being managed by LASAA was
presented to the audience. The project is a proposal for the
development of a brand identity for Lagos State. The Lagos City
Branding project is expected to give Lagos a true image and
Identity through a destination branding strategy.
The forum was concluded with all stakeholders agreeing to work
together with LASA A in achieving its vision and objective while
also ensuring a scenic and beautiful outdoor experience in Lagos
State.
